Operation Christmas Child - finished for 2014

We are running the Operation Christmas child appeal again this year.

So please can you provide shoe boxes, wrapping paper and a ‘shipping’ donation.

They ask for £3 per shoe box.

We will be collecting different things each week.

Many of these things can be bought from pound shops or a supermarket so can be purchased quiet cheaply.

All items must be new.

See www.operationchristmaschild.org.uk for more details.

12th Oct: Toys e.g. teddy, doll, small musical instrument, ball, car.

19th Oct: Educational supplies e.g. pens, stickers, chalk (notebooks and writing pencils not needed) and wrapping paper

26th Oct: Hygiene items e.g. flannel, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair bands and clips (no soap or combs needed).

2nd Nov: Hat, gloves, scarf, sunglasses, cap, bangles, necklaces.

9th Nov: Sweets (no chocolate and sell by date of at least March 2015) and shipping donation - £3 per shoe box.

No: food (except sweets), medicine, war-related items, fragile items, liquids, dangerous items or books with words.

Please feel free to do your own family Christmas box and bring this to church by 9th November.
